Beans and rice
Beans and rice is a healthy vegan plate, very easy to prepare and very rich in iron. We guide you step by step in order to successfully realize it at home.
Equipment
- Pressure Cooker
- A pan
Ingredients
- 1 Onion Cut it into small cubes
- 1 tbsp Vegetable Oil
- 2 cups Pink Beans
- 3 cups Water
- 1/2 cup Round Rice
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1/2 tsp Pepper
- 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
Instructions
- Wash the beans well
- Put them in the pressure cooker with the water and cook them for about 30 mins
- In a pan, on medium heat, add the oil and cook the onion for about 3 mins
- Once the beans are cooked, remove the lid of the pressure cooker, add the mixture of oil and onion to the cooked beans, add the rice, add the salt, the pepper and the tomato paste then mix everything
- Place the mixture on low heat and keep mixing from time to time until the rice is fully cooked (15 to 20 mins)
- Serve in 4 separated plates
