Christmas Cookies
Christmas cookies are the ideal treat during the festive season. Easy to make, they will become your kids favorites, as well as Santa's!
Equipment
- Kitchen Aid or equivalent
- Baking Sheet
- Spatula
- Christmas Cookie Moulds
- Rolling Pin
Ingredients
- 150 grams Flour T45
- 100 grams Sugar
- 100 grams Butter
- 30 grams Praline
- 100 grams Hazelnut Powder
- 1 Egg
- 50 mL Water
Instructions
- In your mixing bowl, add the sugar and butter together and mix on low speed for 5 mins (Make sure the flat beater is used)
- Then mix on medium speed until you obtain a paste like texture
- Add the egg and water
- Mix again on medium speed for 3 mins
- Then add the flour, hazelnut powder and praline to the mixing bowl
- Mix everything together until you get a creamy texture
- Place your mixture on a baking sheet and spread it out in a way to get a rough rectangle
- Place another baking sheet on top, covering edge to edge and gently press it
- Using a rolling pin, spread it out evenly until you obtain the desired thickness for your final product
- Place the dough in the fridge for at least two hours
- Take your dough out of the fridge, remove the baking sheets and place it on a floured work surface
- Use your Christmas Cookies moulds and start shaping your pre-baked biscuits
- Place them on a baking sheet on a baking tray
- In a preheated oven at 175 degrees Celsius (347 degrees Fahrenheit) with convection on, place the tray in the middle and bake for about 10 mins, until your Christmas cookies turn golden
- The remaining dough that can't be shaped, can be put back together and placed into two baking sheets, pressed, rolled, and placed back in the fridge for at least two hours before being reused
- Place your baked Christmas Cookies on a cooling grid and wait for them to cool down before tasting these delicious treats!
