Chinese Lemon Chicken

Equipment
- 1 Fryer (or Pot)
- 1 Small Pot For the sauce
- 1 Pan
- 1 Mixing Bowl
- 1 Wooden Spoon
- 1 Whisk
Ingredients
- 400 grams Chicken Breast Cut in cubes
- 1 cup Flour T55-T65
- 3 Eggs
- ¼ tsp Sweet Pepper
- 1 cup Corn Flour
- 1½ tsp Lemon Juice
- â…“ cup Rice Vinegar
- 2½ tsp Soy Sauce
- 1 tbsp Lemon Zest Grated
- 2 tbsp Sugar
- ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- 1 Onion
- 1 Green Bell Pepper
- 2 tbsp Water
- 0.5 L Cooking Oil (if no fryer available)
Instructions
- Cut the onion and bell pepper into big chunks1 Onion, 1 Green Bell Pepper
- Place them in the pan on low heat
- In the meantime, pour the lemon juice in a separate pot1½ tsp Lemon Juice
- Followed by the sugar and mix well2 tbsp Sugar
- Add the rice vinegar, soy sauce, sweet pepper, garlic powderand mix well¼ tsp Sweet Pepper, ⅓ cup Rice Vinegar, 2½ tsp Soy Sauce, ½ tsp Garlic Powder
- Once your pepper and onion start to soften, turn off the heat
- Place your lemon sauce on medium heat and stir frequently
- Lower heat to minimal and in the meantime, start adding waterprogressively to your corn flour while stirring2 tbsp Water, 1 cup Corn Flour
- Add it to your lemon sauce and stir well
- Keep stirring until the sauce thickens
- Add the onion and pepper to your sauce,followed by the lemon zest and mix well fora couple of minutes1 tbsp Lemon Zest
- Turn off the heat, your sauce is ready!
- In a separate bowl, beat the 3 eggs3 Eggs
- Dip each piece in the egg batter, followed by flourand place it on a separate plate1 cup Flour
- Repeat for the remaining pieces
- Warm the oil up to 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit)Once hot enough, place the chicken pieces and let them cook for about 5-8 minutes,until they become golden and very well cooked on the inside0.5 L Cooking Oil, 400 grams Chicken Breast
- Place the cooked pieces on an absorbing paper
- Your cooked chicken is ready!
- Pour the lemon sauce, and over the chicken and serve!
