English cake
English cake is a classic and easy to bake cake that can accompany your breakfast or your snacks. It is very delicious and all the family will love it!
Equipment
- Cake mixer
- Cake bake plate
- Mixing Bowl
Ingredients
- 5 Eggs
- 1.5 cup Sugar
- ½ cup Yogurt
- ½ cup Orange juice (fresh)
- 2 cups Flour
- 3 tsp Baking powder
- 1 tsp Whisky
- 1 tsp Oil (olive or vegetable oil)
- 1 tsp Butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit)
- In the cake mixer bowl, add the eggs and the sugar then mix them very well
- In a separate bowl mix the flour with the baking powder and add them slowly to the eggs and sugar mixture (while mixing)
- Keep mixing and add the yogurt, the orange juice and the whisky
- Spread your cake bake plate with butter
- Your mixture is ready, you can pour it in the cake bake plate
- Put your cake mixture in the oven for about 40-45 mins
- Allow it to cool and enjoy!
Notes
Our Cooking Hints
- Stick your knife in the middle of the cake and make sure it comes out dry
- You can replace the yogurt with milk
- You can replace butter with tahini (sesame cream) to cover your cake bake plate
