English cake is a classic and easy to bake cake that can accompany your breakfast or your snacks. It is very delicious and all the family will love it!

Ingredients
  

  • 5 Eggs
  • 1.5 cup Sugar
  • ½ cup Yogurt
  • ½ cup Orange juice (fresh)
  • 2 cups Flour
  • 3 tsp Baking powder
  • 1 tsp Whisky
  • 1 tsp Oil (olive or vegetable oil)
  • 1 tsp Butter

Instructions
 

  • Preheat your oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit)
  • In the cake mixer bowl, add the eggs and the sugar then mix them very well
  • In a separate bowl mix the flour with the baking powder and add them slowly to the eggs and sugar mixture (while mixing)
  • Keep mixing and add the yogurt, the orange juice and the whisky
  • Spread your cake bake plate with butter
  • Your mixture is ready, you can pour it in the cake bake plate
  • Put your cake mixture in the oven for about 40-45 mins
  • Allow it to cool and enjoy!

Notes

Our Cooking Hints

  • Stick your knife in the middle of the cake and make sure it comes out dry
  • You can replace the yogurt with milk
  • You can replace butter with tahini (sesame cream) to cover your cake bake plate
