Lasagna Bolognese

Lasagna Bolognese is the plate to go if you are a Bolognese and béchamel lover. This recipe will give you a tasty mixture of both!

Ingredients
  

For the Bolognese Sauce
  • 1 tbsp Butter
  • 1 Onion sliced
  • 200 grams Hashed meat Beef
  • 1 Carrot (shredded or cut into small cubes)
  • 1 tbsp Tomato paste
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Oregano or Thyme
For the Bechamel Sauce
  • 125 grams Milk powder
  • 1250 mL Water
  • 4 tbsp Flour
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ½ tsp Pepper
  • ¼ tsp Nutmeg Ground
For the Lasagne
  • 250 grams Lasagne
  • ½ L Water
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Olive oil
  • 100 grams Shredded mozzarella

Equipment

  • Two pans
  • A pot
  • An oven plate (pyrex)

Method
 

For the bolognese sauce
  1. In a pan, on medium heat, place the butter and let it melt
  2. Add to your pan the onion and cook it for about 2 mins
  3. Add the carrots cubes to the onion then add the meat and keep cooking
  4. When the meat is cooked add the tomato paste, the salt, the pepper and the oregano then mix everything well for about 2 mins. Turn off the heat.
For the Béchamel
  1. In a pot, add the milk powder, the flour, the nutmeg, the salt and the pepper then mix everything together
  2. Add the water to your mixture, stir well and turn on the heat
  3. Keep stirring until the mixture start to thicken
For the Lasagna
  1. In a pan boil some water, add salt and olive oil to the water then turn off the heat
  2. Add the lasagna sheet one by one for about 30 seconds to 1 min each before disposing them in the Pyrex plate
  3. In a Pyrex, start with adding a layer of Béchamel sauce then dispose the lasagna sheet such as they cover the surface
  4. Add a layer of Bolognese sauce, a layer of Béchamel, a layer of lasagna sheet then repeat the process until you make 3 to 4 layers of each
  5. After disposing the last layer of Lasagna, add béchamel sauce and cover it with a layer of shredded mozzarella

  6. Cook the Lasagna in the oven at 180 degrees Celsius (356 degrees Fahrenheit) for about 10 to 15 mins
