Ingredients
  

  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Carrots sliced
  • 1 Potato sliced
  • 1 cup Lentils Pink
  • 1 L Water
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil

  • A large pot

Method
 

  1. In a large pot, on medium heat, add the oil and the chopped onion
  2. Once the onion is cooked, add the carrots and the potato then mix everything
  3. Add the lentils, the pepper, the salt, the turmeric and mix everything
  4. Add water, and when it starts to boil lower the heat to the minimum and cook the mixture for about 40 mins
  5. Blend the mixture

  • You can serve the lentils soup as a starter
  • For a better experience try the soup with croutons
  • For a firmer soup (like in the picture), blend with less water
