Lentils Soup

Equipment

  • A large pot

Ingredients
  

  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 2 Carrots sliced
  • 1 Potato sliced
  • 1 cup Lentils Pink
  • 1 L Water
  • ½ tsp Turmeric
  • ½ tsp Salt
  • ¼ tsp Pepper
  • 1 tbsp Vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • In a large pot, on medium heat, add the oil and the chopped onion
  • Once the onion is cooked, add the carrots and the potato then mix everything
  • Add the lentils, the pepper, the salt, the turmeric and mix everything
  • Add water, and when it starts to boil lower the heat to the minimum and cook the mixture for about 40 mins
  • Blend the mixture

  • You can serve the lentils soup as a starter
  • For a better experience try the soup with croutons
  • For a firmer soup (like in the picture), blend with less water
