Nammoura is a typical lebanese sweet cake called Basbousa in Egypt, which is delightful and very easy to make. It is a delicacy that will quickly become one of your favorite desserts.

  • In a large mixing bowl add the semolina, the sugar, the vanille, the baking powder and the miska then mix them very well
  • Melt the butter using a microwave
  • Make a hole in the middle of the mixture and add the laban and the melted butter
  • Mix everything very well
  • Let your mixture rest for about 3 h
  • Put your mixture in the baking tray, add the almonds and bake it for about 40 mins at 180 degrees celsius
  • Cut the Nammoura into small cubes or diamonds then add the syrop

Notes

Our Cooking Hints:

  • You can replace almonds with peanuts
  • You can use brown or white sugar and same for the syrup
  • Serve once it has cooled down
