Nammoura is a typical lebanese sweet cake called Basbousa in Egypt, which is delightful and very easy to make. It is a delicacy that will quickly become one of your favorite desserts.

  • A large baking tray
  • Mixing Bowl

Method
 

  1. In a large mixing bowl add the semolina, the sugar, the vanille, the baking powder and the miska then mix them very well
  2. Melt the butter using a microwave
  3. Make a hole in the middle of the mixture and add the laban and the melted butter
  4. Mix everything very well
  5. Let your mixture rest for about 3 h
  6. Put your mixture in the baking tray, add the almonds and bake it for about 40 mins at 180 degrees celsius
  7. Cut the Nammoura into small cubes or diamonds then add the syrop

Notes

Our Cooking Hints:

  • You can replace almonds with peanuts
  • You can use brown or white sugar and same for the syrup
  • Serve once it has cooled down
